This film is a poetical portrayal of the evolution and devolution, ageing yet also constant regeneration of an anonymous city sphere. Its only companion and support is the music, which draws its rhythmic structures from the surrounding buildings and architectonic cadences. It makes visible by magic the dynamics of the coexistence of stone, concrete, wood and metal; the film is giving life to static matter by the means of HYPERLAPSE. It is magical realism in its most natural form. The difference from classical animation techniques is, that when normally to create an illusion of movement every single take is phased by an animator or computer, the phases here are made solely by the architect, builder and TIME – by nature itself. It has been said that architecture is frozen music. This film can be considered as an act of mobilizing, freeing the architecture of its immobilized, frozen being. It is the awakening of frozen matter of its everlasting sleep.
Filmed in ten cities of the world, visited by chance.
