This film was made during the first Hungarian abstract film workshop: the students created a free association adaptation of the poem of Guillaume Apollinaire. The film was made with direct animation technique, on 35 mm filmstrips. The film painting was created by the students of Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest. Apollinaire was the pope of avant-garde: he cultivated chance, artistic chaos, and created the word and concept of Surrealism. This workshop experiment conducted with four students was very similar to the Surrealist game known as the ‘exquisite corpse.’
