RABARIS IN GUJARAT

or

Rabaries in Northwest India

Kása Béla photo exhibition

/large photos on the inner wall of Danube bastion/

Like the Transylvanian Gypsy musicians, photographs of Rabari shepherds could have been made twenty or even sixty years ago. These people are perhaps the most devoted to their traditions. These beautiful images are illustrious and valuable documents of vanishing life forms.

Short biography:

Béla Kása (1952) photographer, graduated in 1979 from the School of Art and Design at the College of Fine Arts in Cologne with a degree in photography and worked for two of Europe's largest illustrated periodicals, Stern and GEO.

He returned to Hungary in 1982 and since 1985 has been photographing folk bands and musicians for the covers of recordings and brochures. He is also a picture editor of the folk music journal FolkMAGazin. Kása Béla's work has been exhibited in Budapest, Gödöllô, Győr, Pécs, Szeged, and Szombathely, as well as in Austria and Denmark.

"Exposure takes place in the soul and hart - he says. "My great job in life: capture the world to myself, my children and posterity that I could not be a part of because I was born late. But I want the following generations to see some of it. "

MEDIAWAVE "SCROLLING" MOOD IMAGES

Photo exhibition of Radu Igazság

/festival center/

Professor of the University of Cinematography in Bucharest. He is a participant of Mediawave events almost from the beginning as a teacher, photographer, and member of the Jury. Every year he presents a selection of photographs from the previous year. He brought his mood pictures last year mounted on two scrollable cylinders. So, those who are interested must deal with the "technical" difficulties, but may also be interpreted as a meeting with one of the early predecessors of cinema, a heavyweight version of slidefilm projection.

ABANDONED FLAT-BOATS

Adan Garcia Holgado Andalusian photographer

exhibition and workshop

/Danube Bastion – Spanish wall/

EXHIBITION

Pictures transmitted on wood surfaces with special technique. The inspiration was given by abandoned flat-boats used by people fleeing from their homes.

PHOTO WORKSHOP

HIPOCRESIAS. VOL 2.

In the creative workshop, we remember those who lost their lives in the Danube due to forced migration or war conflicts in history. All this in order to express our rejection of this kind of social injustice.

In the creative workshop we will discuss four basic concepts:
POST FOTOGRÁFIA
CREATIVE COMMUNITY
PHOTO-TRANSFER ON WOOD
MIGRATION MOVEMENTS

Using the pieces of wood found on the Danube bank as photo bases, we get acquainted with the photo-transfer technique printed on wood, displaying the facial features of missing persons as a commemoration.

The work in the creative workshop is divided into two parts:
Part One: presentation, selection of photographs and basic instructions
Part Two: photographs and remembrance

The workshop is completely free and everyone is welcome!

In 2017, the Punto y Kropka Cultural Organization used this technique in memory of refugees, in Andalusia, Cadiz, on the Bolonia coast, using the wreckage of flat- boats left by African refugees.

The Punto y Kropka Cultural Organization was established in 2015 in Jerez de la Frontera, aiming to promote cultural connectivity between the Cadiz province and the rest of the world.

Besides the cult of Saint Stephen, Saint László's memories are the most definitive in memory of the Székelys (Sekler). Numerous settlement names, place of pilgrimage and a legendary legacy are linked to the much loved knight-king since centuries. So are wallpapers too.
The description of the pictures are written by Jánó Mihály historian, photos taken by photographer Mudrák Attila. The exhibition is presented to us by the director of the Cultural Center of Székelyudvarhely, Elekes Gyula and the deputy mayor Orbán Árpád.

20 YEARS OF MÉHKASAULA –

TWENTY YEARS IN CONTEMPORAY CULTURE

First Méhkasula program was held in March 1998. Since then, we've been running our programs unceasingly. This exhibition presents the work of the Székesfehérvár team through dozens of tableau pictures.

The artists of Méhkasaula Cultural Association combine traditional glass painting with graphic designs. The essence of their technique is to create translucent artwork that can be projected onto different surfaces. In this case the goal is displaying these works in the exhibition hall.
