Filmed in one continuous take, ‘Eight’ tracks the psychological battle that Sarah faces each day with her Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Imprisoned within her mind, and shut off from the world, Sarah’s only hope of escape is social worker Jane and the memory of a happy life that is slowly slipping from reach.

Peter BLACKBURN

Peter started in the film industry as an actor in the mid nineties. He went on to study with QPIX, where he won the student KODAK QLD commercial competition. 2005 saw Peter write, produce and direct 'REFLECTIONS OF BLUE', a short film that received a Highly Commended award at the Rockhampton Fringe Festival.

In 2006 he wrote and produced 'WALKING OFF', a finalist at the Bondi Film Festival and winner of the Mayors Award at the “Heart of Gold” International Film Festival 2007. He also wrote 'BLUE RINSE BANDITS' which screened at The Adelaide Short Shorts and Sydney Community Film.

Peter Co-Produced a short film titled ‘NINE MILES BEAUTIFUL’ as part of the 2007 QPIX initiative program “Silver Halide”. Nine Miles Beautiful has screened both nationally and internationally and won the peoples choice awards at Mudfest 2008, QSFC/BIFF 2008 and Bondi Short Film Festival 2009.

2011 saw his short film Mug’s Game screened on the official program at The Brisbane International Film Festival.

In 2012 Peter has moved into commercial production producing and writing the FNQ Lager TVC for Blue Sky Brewery, which screened on regional television stations, SBS nationally and will also screen on Foxtel/Austar network.

Peter’s self-funded short documentary DRAGON NOI screened at the Tiger Paw Sports Film Festival in New Delhi in August 2013 winning a runners up medal, the film also screened at the Canberra Short Film Festival in September 2013.

In 2014 Peter wrote, produced and directed his first feature film EIGHT during 2014 his Observational Documentary television series People of the Vines also screened on Network 10 in Australia.
